Priding itself on being entirely plastic free and FSC certified, State of Reverie’s latest ‘Conscious’ collection of wedding stationery was created to reduce our impact on the planet. Both sustainable and contemporary, this entire ‘conscious’ editorial shoot inspires you to make more conscious decisions when it comes to styling your wedding.

“2020 with all its challenges, has brought with it the opportunity to reflect on the future of events, and particularly how we can all make changes to reduce our impact on the planet once we get back to throwing parties again.

The Conscious Collection and Editorial Shoot was born out of the idea that weddings can be both sustainable and contemporary, while still being beautiful and romantic. We wanted to inspire couples to make conscious choices when styling their wedding.

The teams from State Of Reverie, The Small Things Co and Wild Flos have created a look that is both contemporary and romantic but also takes a sustainable approach.

Captured by Kas Richards at Wild Flos’ new studio, we were so lucky to have that lovely winter sun pouring through the abundant windows where Kas created some dreamy magic. Layers of textural elements such as crumpled linen, ceramic earthen tableware and plant-based wax candles created a unique setting. An abundance of nature brought our setting to life with unexpected seasonal floral and foliage from Wild Flos. Playing with the idea of where flowers come from, you’ll see this reflected in the use of loose soil with plants and grasses almost growing out of the table. Sustainable in our approach, Wild Flos used locally grown flowers and foliage without floral foam, to create this tablescape and signage installation that stirs conversation.

State Of Reverie’s new collection Conscious, favours beautiful typography and layering while keeping the colour palette classic in shades of ivory, black and fawn. As with all their products, the collection is entirely plastic-free and FSC certified. In the Conscious Collection, they’ve used papers with as much recycled content as possible; some made with alternative fibres such as wheat straw, which creates a luxe flecked effect with rippled texture. Signage uses plywood instead of acrylic to create a premium display that is entirely biodegradable. The collection also features digital invites and wedding websites for couples who prefer to go paper-free.

The Small Things Co’s range of beautiful decor pieces finished the look with their stylish matte black cutlery, new column candles in shades of beige and cream, and sustainable timber signage stands for both large and small signage. The combination of soft organic details married together with the modern solid lines reflects the direction taken in this shoot to encapsulate the 2020 trends while being influenced by environmental considerations.”
